Recently, Lockwood released a new line to their Drey collection, Drey Noire. Noire is different from what they have released in the past but it maintains the quality that Lockwood fans have come to expect. The collection includes several different variations of tweed. Tweed has been made popular over the years by detective movies and books, perhaps, it was no accident that Lockwood chose to name the collection Noire.
The term noir, without the letter “e” is a generic term to describe crime fiction, while the french word noire simply means black. A few of you may have played the game, LA Noire, a detective game based in the mid fifties, this time period is very typical of where I would expect to see the Noire collection.
When I first saw the trailer for Drey Noired, the first thing that came to my mind was the game CLUE from Parker Brothers. As a child, I was always fascinated by mysteries and if I wasn’t reading Nancy Drew, I probably could be found playing board games, my favorite being CLUE.
The idea that these outfits were based on CLUE characters is not as far stretched as it may seem. Although, there are only six main characters in the game and eight costumes released by Lockwood, six of the eight fit the characters almost perfectly.
First up is the:

This is the outfit I chose to purchase out of all of them, it fits my avatar’s style. This outfit is also something that you would find Mrs. Peacock in, but since Lockwood seemed to leave Mrs. White out of the mix, I’ll go ahead and say it looks like something Mrs. White would wear, although I’d be lying.
Overall, all these lovely suits are definitely worth the purchase, the only thing that might hold you back from buying all of them is your color preference. Although the Aubergine outfit was calling out to me, I decided to go for the Charcoal version of the belted blazer because it will fit in more with the wardrobe that I have now.

Thx for the way you meshed all of this together with the clue game. Gives me some ideas for a future contest
I like these better then any of the Lockwood and Drey Stuff I have seen… yet its still to pricey, yet at least this time it gives a woman a little dignity.
Ive enjoyed all of the Drey items they have released.
They are all pretty dignified and your not scantily clad.
I really liked the new drey set I might have to get my hands on the jodhpur jeans set as well.
