“Sleep is the best meditation.” The Dalia Lama
What a day! You’ve just put in a grueling eight hours at work. You’ve just hung-out with some of your friends in the Hub on Home, having endured the taunts and jabs from a thousand and one noobs and trolls. You’ve even attended one or two parties dancing into the wee small hours of the morning with that special someone. Now, you are ready to curl up in bed, watch a late-night movie and drift off into a peaceful slumber filled with dreams of this and that.
In the past there weren’t a lot of options for a tired avatar if they wanted to get a good night’s sleep. Oh, there were beds to be had on Home, many in fact, but they hardly afforded much comfort to those wanting to catch a few Zs. Most of the time, an avatar could only sit on the side of their bed and patiently wait for sleep to over take them, never being able to fully stretch out and relax. How luxurious it must seem to them to be able to actually lie down on a bed.
What was a weary avatar to do? Maybe you could find a measure of comfort while resting in a chair, or lounging on a sofa. Or perhaps you’d venture out into the great outdoors, throw your lounger on the ground, and sleep underneath the stars.
The lounger is a convenient and fun way to get some rest during the summertime, but if you were to try this during the winter, you are guaranteed to get a little frosty.
Well, the good folks at Granzella have heard our avatars pleas for something comfortable to sleep on and have done something about it. They have put together a luxurious pack of three different beds you can use in any personal space, so that your avatar need not be deprived of a good night sleep ever again.
If you also want to engage in a few romantic activities before closing your eyes for a good nights rest, don’t worry, because these beds were built for two.
The Beds
The Dreamy Bed bundle comes with three different beds, which are as follows:
The Bright-coloured Wooden Bed
The Steel-frame Bed
The Chic Black Bed
These are all active items which take up seventeen furniture slots when placed in a private space. Some may balk at being forced to buy a bundle of three beds instead of just being allowed to buy one individually, but trust me, Granzella has made it worth your while in a big way to own and use all three different beds on a daily basis. Besides, the bundle only costs $4.99, which is not a bad deal considering all you get.
First of all, Granzella has added a ridiculous number of poses you can position your avatar in while resting on these beds. There are approximately thirty different poses you can choose from. However, since you can rest on either the left-hand or right-hand side of these bed, the number of poses you can choose from is effectively doubled, so you really have an upwards of sixty different individual poses to choose from while resting on this bed.
When you are resting on the bed, you can open the pose menu by pressing the R1 button. Within this menu, you will notice there are six different sub-categories of poses to choose from. Some of these sub-categories have several different poses to choose from, while other sub-categories just have one or two poses in them.
You can take your picture while lying on the bed at any point simply by pressing the square button, either if you are lying awake, or starting to dream about the prizes you’ll get in the days ahead.
The Facing Up sub-category is the first group of poses you can choose from. This includes the default sleeping pose your avatar rests in when they first lies down on any one of these beds. They will lie comfortably on their back with their left leg raised and right leg stretched out. Their gaze will be fixed on the ceiling.
There are two variants to this pose which position your avatar’s head to the right, or the left. Many of the poses offered on this bed come with variants which allow you to position you head straight forward, or turned towards either the left or the right. These slight differences in position are how the bed is able to offer so many different poses.
The fourth option in the Facing up sub-category is a fun, energetic action pose in which your avatar does a series of sit-ups while lying on the bed.
The facing down sub-category contains the second major batch of poses for the bed. These are all fun poses that position your avatar in various states of relaxation while resting on their stomach. The first batch of poses in this sub-catergory allows you to lie on your stomach, facing the pillows of the bed with your feet bobbing up and down, looking straight ahead or either to the right, or left.

Lying on my stomach, with my feet bobbing in the air, pillow in hand, ready for any impromptu pillow fights .
The second batch of poses have you positioned in the opposite direction, facing the foot of the bed, again with your feet bobbing up and down and the ability to look straight ahead, or to the left or to the right.
The third major position in this category finds your avatar in a state of collapse while resting on the bed. It is as if they just barely managed to make it to the bed before collapsing into an instant, deep sleep.
The third major sub-category of poses contain ones in which your avatar rests on there side. Well, to be honest, the first couple of poses have your avatar pretty much resting on their back, they resemble the default pose, with the slight difference of your left hand resting on you chest and your right arm outstretched a bit from your body while you are resting.
The other major pose position in this category finds you elevated on either your right or left side, using one of your arms for support.
The sitting sub-category contains a wide variety of seated poses to choose from. The first batch of poses allow you sit on top of the bed, more or less in the middle, with both arms resting gently on your knees. After these poses comes a pose that positions your avatar seated more toward the head of bed, leaning back on their hands for support, their right leg crossed underneath a raised left leg. This look is a relaxed, but slightly more provocative pose in my opinion.
A series of poses follows that have you seated at various points along the edge of the bed in various poses. A couple of these poses have you sitting more upright and there is one that is a slightly more relaxed pose with your avatar leaning back on their hands.
Finally there are a pair of Cuddling poses.
Yes these bed are built for two, so make sure to share the experience of the Dreamy Beds with a special friend. Your friend will appear lying next to you as soon as they lie down. You can take a picture with them while using any of the poses mentioned above. However, the poses listed in the fifth sub-category are all ones you can share with your partner to create some very romantic poses.
The first three poses in the fifth sub-category allow you to rest your partner’s head on your lap. I like the second of these three poses, it looks quite romantic, as if you are poised to give your partner a goodnight kiss.
The second batch of poses lets you rest your head on your partner’s lap.
Finally, the sixth sub-category is reserved for poses with the body pillow. Initially, this sub-category will be inaccessible when you get the beds. But don’t worry, that will soon change once you receive the body pillow as a reward from the bed. The body pillow is a large pillow you can hug while sleeping in the Dreamy Beds.
When you get this pillow, the sixth category of poses become available. You’ll automatically equip the body pillow when you activate one of the two poses in the body pillow sub-category which allow you to rest on either your right or left side. I thought that it was kind of fun to see my avatar cuddling such a big pillow.
The Rewards
Yes, there is a reward system attached to these beds and it is perhaps one of the most innovative things I’ve seen on Home recently. Many personal spaces have rewards that can be earned by visiting them. But these beds are one of the first instances I’ve seen where rewards are attached to a furniture item. I think it was a clever way for Granzella to persuade Home users to use all three beds in this bundle, instead of simply placing one in a space while the other two languish in storage. If Home users want all of the rewards from these beds in a timely fashion, they are going to have to use all three beds to get them.
When you lie on one of these beds, press the x button and you’ll be asked if you want to sleep. If you choose yes, your avatar will drift off to sleep and Zs will start to appear above your head, then a dream bubble will eventually float above your head. If a reward is available, it will appear in this dream bubble, if not, the bubble will pop and you will continue snoring.
You can only receive one reward per day, either as an owner or a guest, not both. It appears that you can’t get two rewards in a day, so once you get a reward either as an owner, or guest, you are done for the day and will have to wait until the next day to get a new reward.
Depending on which day of the week it is, you will have to sleep in a different bed each day to get a fresh reward. In North America, I expect the reward schedule will be similar to the one Granzella set up in Japan which is a follows:
The Colourful Bed yields a reward on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday.
The Steel-Framed bed yields a reward on Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday.
The Chic Black and Blue Bed yields a reward on Sunday.
What I did was put a different bed in a different personal space and visit the appropriate bed each day depending on what day of the week it was, so I could get my daily reward. Frankly, I thought it was a fun, unique way to get some simple rewards on Home and it has greatly increased the value of the beds from their initial cost.
To date there are eighteen rewards available from these beds, guests can get five of these rewards, plus there is a unique sixth guest item.
The rewards are released to owners and guests on a fixed schedule with one item following the next. Below are a few pictures with a brief description of the items. I will included a proper reward schedule at the end of this article.
The first item I received when sleeping in these beds was the large body pillow, but now it looks like it is the fourth reward owners will get from the bed, guests can’t receive the body pillow. However, the reward schedule for the beds was modified in Japan recently to include the New Year’s items Granzella released at the beginning of the month. It looks like North America is following the modified schedule.
Below is a picture of some of the pillows you can get as a reward from the beds.
Every bed needs some comfy pillows for you to curl-up with and these beds reward you with many pillows. As an owner, the heart pillow was rewarded on the seventh day of sleeping in the bed, guests can receive the heart pillow if they sleep in someone else’s bed on the third day. The star pillow appears as a reward on the eleventh day for owners of the bed, while the moon pillow appeared on the fourteenth day. Both the star and moon pillows are not available as rewards for guests.

These Eggplant plushies were part of the New Year’s Rewards that Granzella added to the bed’s for the New Year’s celebrations in Japan.
The large eggplant plushy appears as a reward on the third day of owning the bed, but is the first reward guests will receive from the beds.
The rewards above are a very cute mini-cactus which is available to owners only on the thirteenth day, hopefully I won’t kill it. Next to the cactus is a pitcher of water with a glass on top it, this is a perfect item to have on hand should you get thirsty while you are sleeping, this item is available to owners on the sixth day and guests on the second day.
The plushies you get from the Dreamy Bed’s are pretty cute. The cat was the first plushie I received and when I did, I thought it was pretty adorable. The cat plushie is available to both owners and guests on the fifth day. The next plushie you should receive is the dog, followed by the teddy bear, then finally the stuffed rabbit. The dog, bear and rabbit are only available to owners of the bed.
If you need to relax before going to sleep, there is a nice smelling candle to put your mind at ease and a steamy romance novel to get your heart racing. Fortunately, you don’t have to worry about blowing this candle out, should you nod off while reading this romance novel. The light this little candle gives off is quite bright and is a welcome addition to any dark little corner you might wish to illuminate, or if you wish, it will set the mood perfectly for a night of romance. The romance novel is available on the tenth day of owning the beds but is available to owners of the bed only. The candle is available on the eighth day to owners and on the fourth day to guests.
The night mask is a handy little reward you get from the Dreamy Beds on the fifteenth day of owning the bed, it is an item that is obtainable only by owners of the bed. The night mask will be the perfect accessory should you feel like taking a quick cat nap in the middle of the day.
The final regular reward from the beds is a mechanical alarm clock. This handy little device will be sure to keep you on time, so don’t miss any important events on Home. The alarm clock is only available for owners of the bed on the seventeenth day of sleeping in the Dreamy Beds.
Granzella released some cool rewards through the beds to help celebrate New Year’s in Japan and it looks like these rewards are available from North America as well. The rewards that the beds yielded for this special event were: the fetching Mount Fuji hat I’m wearing on my head in the picture below and the Lucky Falcon companion that is circling my head is the second reward owners of the beds will receive. The Mount Fuji hat is now the first reward owners of the Dreamy Beds in North America will receive. Both the hat and hawk are only available to owners of the bed.
When I started writing this article the beds hadn’t been released in North America yet so I wasn’t sure if the New Year’s items would carry over to North America, but it looks like they have. This made me very happy since it means that North American users will get some very cool rewards and not have to wait until next year to get them. The next major event coming up is Valentine’s Day, so it is possible we’ll see a couple of Valentine rewards from the beds in February.
I just got my last reward from the Dream Bed’s today, the toothbrushes and heart cup reward.
A huge thank you to Sarahsensei for helping me get this last reward. A note on obtaining guest rewards. I believe that in order to actually receive a guest reward, you must sleep in the right bed with your host. That is how I obtained the heart cup above today.
Owning the Granzella Dreamy Beds is sure to be a rewarding experience for any Home user who wishes to add them to their personal spaces. If you want to be extra comfy while sleeping on these beds, be sure to check out the pajama and slipper bundles Granzella is offering as well. The pajamas are offered in a wide range of colours, including the black, and yellow sets I’m wearing in the pictures above. The bundle comes with everything a person might need for a good night sleep including a top, bottoms, comfy slippers, a night cap, and a colour coordinated pillow, which is great to have on hand in case you need to defend yourself from any impromptu pillow fights.
Well, I’m pretty tired, so I think I’m going to go to bed and grab a quick cat-nap. I hope you all enjoy these beds and that your dreams come true.
As special thanks to Elmo-Jo for posing with me in some of these photos.

I purchased the beds soon as home came online and I’m very much in love with my purchase. All I need now is to find the right space for the wrought iron bed and I will be all set.
This is a great report. Even Japanese sites, I’ve never seen so detailed analysis. Be installed 3 beds in the same room of the Dream Island , I had to try every bed at random. Now I can run planned thanks to your article.
Yes, he did a very nice job.
so many answers & great pix.
after day 17, do rewards repeat?
Thank you very much. As far as I know, the rewards follow the sequence regardless if you miss a day. So, if you sleep in a bed Monday, miss Tuesday, but sleep in a bed on Wednesday it should follow this sequence. So they won’t necassarily repeat once you are done. However, that does not preclude Granzella from adding new rewards for future event like Valentines. The sequence in North America began with the Mountain Hat, when I got the beds in Japan, I got the Body Pillow first. I’m not saying that there will be Valentine’s rewards for sure, however, it would be worth while to keep an eye out for them.
Thank you. Now I know what rewards I still need to get. =^.^=
Your welcome. Hope you get all the rewards, and pleasant dreams
