After my last article about Episode 1 was published, I received answers to interview questions I had sent out to J-Tight and Ashichan, two other members of this season’s cast. So I decided to write a second installment just for their answers.

This first testimonial was from J-Tight.

BossSolidSnake: What were your initial thoughts when you first saw the tester loft?

J-Tight: I loved it, all the games and TV and a break from the kids.

BossSolidSnake: What were your initial thoughts about your castmates?

J-Tight: The girls look good, lol, and they all was cool to me.

BossSolidSnake: When you heard the prizes actually included a production job at the Santa Monica Studio, how surprised were you?

J-Tight: I was real happy and the car was nice. Me and my family could use that.

BossSolidSnake: When you found out John Hight was the guest panelist did that add any extra pressure?

J-Tight:  Yes, that’s my future boss.

BossSolidSnake: Of course I have to ask, what was it like dealing with the box of bugs on your head?

J-Tight: I’m scared of bugs, so it was hard for me. Also, it was hot in the box. Did you see the sweat?

BossSolidSnake: Before the elimination took place, who did you think was going to be sent home?

J-Tight: Me, because of all the cussing I did and the sweat.

BossSolidSnake: What were your thoughts when you heard that Ashichan was going home, but that Egoraptor got to stay (basically because he was the one voted in by the fans)?

J-Tight: That was not fair. Egoraptor should have went, but it’s TV.

BossSolidSnake: Any additional thoughts or shout-outs you’d like to make involving this episode?

J-Tight: You got to love Skyd1ddy eye twitching, lol.

As anyone who saw Episode 1 knows, Ashichan was the contestant that was eliminated and she had some choice words for how she felt about being eliminated and the panel allowing Egoraptor to stay. Enjoy.

BossSolidSnake: What were your initial thoughts when you first saw the tester loft?

Ashichan: When I first got there, I thought the loft was beautiful! I wanted to play everything and I Did! The games were all new and secret, the TV’s were more than I had at home and I couldn’t get over all the colors.

BossSolidSnake: What were your initial thoughts about your castmates?

Ashichan: Some I thought were cool, others a bit immature. We were there for a job, not to make fools of ourselves.

BossSolidSnake: When you heard the prizes actually included a production job at the Santa Monica Studio, how surprised were you?

Ashichan: I was a bit shocked they would give us that job, right of the bat. So I knew I had to give it my all.  Honestly, I was really pumped about the car.

BossSolidSnake: When you found out John Hight was the guest panelist did that add any extra pressure?

Ashichan: I was equally as qualified as anyone else in that room, so I wasn’t nervous about speaking to him. I wanted him to see me as a professional and that I could do the job, just as good as anyone else.

BossSolidSnake: Of course I have to ask, what was it like dealing the box of bugs on your head?

Ashichan: I was trying my best to stay calm and focused on the questions. I made sure to be as pro about it as possible.

BossSolidSnake: Before the elimination took place, who did you think was going to be sent home?

Ashichan: I thought Ninjanomyx was going, mainly because I didn’t see him interact with anyone nor did I know what he was capable of. I also thought the Brazilian girl [Suzkaiden] would go, since it seemed she knew about games, but I wasn’t sure how serious she was about working in the industry.

BossSolidSnake: What were your thoughts when you heard that you were going home, but that Egoraptor got to stay (basically because he was the one voted in by the fans)?

Ashichan: My thoughts were that, Remember: This is a TV show, not a real world Job interviewing process. I mean, you can’t kick out the fan favorite first because you want those fans to watch the show and bring in views. So there’s that.  Even though the prize was real, if this were an actual interview, Egoraptor would be sent home. He didn’t really bring or express what he could bring to the company and when asked why he should stay, he still included that the prizes and fans were more important than the actual job, which came as an afterthought. Once again, not a real world situation. If being a professional and offering a reliable, knowledgeable, easy to collaborate with person is not enough to get a job, well, half of the world wouldn’t be employed. It’s unfortunate I had to leave, because I’m PRETTY Rad if you ask me, but no one forgets their first time ;)

BossSolidSnake: Any additional thoughts or shout-outs you’d like to make involving this episode?

Ashichan: The question I keep replaying in my mind is, “what can you bring to the company”. When I thought of my answer, I was thinking, “Yes, we are all knowledgeable in the gaming industry. Yes, we all game. Yes, we love Playstation. But what could I Ashi-chan bring that no one else can” and I answered ME. I’m a great person to be around, super sweet, I love cosplay, my old job at game stop loved thatn and I care for humanity as a whole. When they said, nothing about me stood out, I refuse to allow that to be the truth for the public to hear.

So let me tell you my truth. I am who I am, I have the Right to be here and I have nothing to prove. The Benevolent Leader. Someone who stands out by their inner strength. Which is hard to recognize when you see it first and easy to dismiss. There’s No need to exude extra energy, I have the power to just be power at its core.  I love my castmates, you are my family, and no one can take that from me.  Everyone I worked with on the show was such a joy, even the judges and I had a few laughs and connections many didn’t get to see. I made some good TV, and I enjoyed it.  FANS of the Show! You can find me @ashi_chan, fb Ashi Chan or chocolatecoveredcosplay or I Wish My Life Was A RPG. <3 to everyone and Keep fighting the good fight! I can’t wait to see who wiiiiins :3

Great stuff. I would like to thank J-Tight and Ashichan for their insights and be sure to stay tuned for my next article, which will cover Episode 2.
